Why do I need a WordPress.com account?

Since Jetpack and its services are provided and hosted by WordPress.com, a WordPress.com account is required for Jetpack to function.

I already have a WordPress account, but Jetpack isn’t working. What’s going on?

A WordPress.com account is different from the account you use to log into your self-hosted WordPress. If you can log into WordPress.com, then you already have a WordPress.com account. If you can’t, you can easily create one during installation.

How do I view my stats?

Once you’ve installed Jetpack your stats will be available on WordPress.com/Stats, on the official WordPress mobile apps, and on your Jetpack dashboard.

How do I contribute to Jetpack?

There are opportunities for developers at all levels to contribute. Learn more about contributing to Jetpack or consider joining our beta program.

I just noticed over 400 spam posts on one of our WordPress multi-site. I don't know if a hacker is exploiting this plugin or that the plugin itself is doing it but I've also seen other users reporting their site hacked as well. Inside the Error Log [16-Feb-2020 04:58:55 UTC] PHP Warning: Unknown user in /home/mydomain/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/sal/class.json-api-post-base.php on line 466

Aside from a few issues connecting multiple sites over the years, this has always been pretty solid and seems to work well with the mobile app. Twitter integration had some issues on one site, but not others so I imagine it was probably a configuration error on my part.

If you register a new domain name. Create a new web site and install this plugin. Everything is new. No one knows about this site, but jetpack still keeps statistics of blocking virtual data
