Upload the plugin files to the `/wp-content/plugins/deposet/` directory, or install the plugin through the WordPress Plugins screen. 2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins screen in WordPress. 3. Go to Deposet then Settings to enable deposits and configure general options. 4. Go to Deposet then Rules to create your first deposit rule or installment payment plan. 5. It applies to both the checkout-wide deposit option and per-product deposit rules. The default stays on product subtotal, so existing stores keep charging exactly what they charge today. * Fix: The checkout payment options showed amounts that did not match what was charged. “Pay Full Amount” showed the product subtotal instead of the real order total, and “Pay Deposit” showed only the deposit while the checkout took the deposit plus shipping and tax. Both now show the amount that will actually be taken, with a short breakdown when shipping and tax are charged upfront. * Fix: The “Due Today” row in the cart and checkout totals showed only the deposit, even though shipping and tax were being charged with it. On a 12 cart with 100 shipping and a 50 percent deposit it read 6 while the checkout charged 106. It now shows the amount actually taken, and is recalculated from the current cart so coupon and quantity changes are reflected as soon as the totals refresh. * Fix: Coupons were ignored when working out deposits. The checkout-wide deposit used the cart subtotal from before discounts, and per-product deposits were captured when the item was added to the cart and never rescaled, so on a 12 item with a 50 percent deposit and a 6 coupon the whole discounted 6 was deferred and nothing was left as a deposit. Deposits are now worked out after discounts. * Fix: The per-item “Deposit amount” and “Future payments” rows in the cart and checkout showed the figure for a single unit, so they did not move when the shopper changed the quantity. They now show the amount for the whole line, after discounts. * Fix: The Default Selection setting had no effect in the block checkout. “Pay Deposit” was shown pre-selected, but the order total stayed at the full amount and, if the shopper placed the order without clicking the option, no deposit was taken and no payment schedule was created. The selected option, the totals and the order are now all resolved the same way. * Fix: The deposit and remaining balance recorded on the order, and the deposit payment order created for it, now match the amount actually charged at checkout. * Fix: The deposit payment order is no longer marked Completed and Paid at checkout before the payment is actually received. It was being completed while the order was created, which is before the payment gateway runs, so offline gateways such as Direct Bank Transfer (BACS), Cheque, and Cash on Delivery recorded an unpaid deposit as paid. The deposit is now completed only when the gateway confirms the payment, or when the store owner moves the order to a paid status after confirming an offline transfer. * Fix: A new deposit order is no longer forced to Partially Paid with a paid date while it is still awaiting payment. The order status is now derived from the actual payment orders. #### 1.1.2 * Fix: Plugin text in the cart and checkout, including the block based checkout, now respects translations. The JavaScript strings were never loading their translation files, so they stayed in English even when the language pack was fully translated. * Fix: Translations placed in the plugin’s own languages folder, which is the default Author location in Loco Translate, are now loaded. Previously only files in wp- content/languages/plugins were picked up. * Fix: Validation messages on the Deposit Rules and settings screens are now translatable. * Tweak: The deposit note in the block cart is now a single translatable sentence, so translators can place the amount naturally in their own language. #### 1.1.1 * Fix: Deposit rules scoped to specific products or categories now calculate correctly at checkout. Previously the checkout deposit ignored them and fell back to the store default percentage, so a fixed amount deposit could be charged as a percentage. * Fix: The Deposit Display Location setting now applies to all deposit rules, including product and category specific ones.
