## Installation

#### Automatic Installation

 1. Install and activate the Dalton plugin through the WordPress plugins screen
 2. Go to Dalton in your WordPress admin menu
 3. Follow the setup instructions to create your account
 4. Add the Dalton script tag to your site
 5. Start creating experiments!

#### Manual Installation

 1. Upload the `dalton` folder to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory
 2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
 3. Go to Dalton in your WordPress admin menu and follow setup instructions

#### After Installation

 1. Sign up at https://platform.getdalton.com/onboarding/start
 2. Get your tracking script from the dashboard
 3. Add the script to your site’s section (via theme editor or code snippet plugin)
 4. Return to Dalton platform to create your first experiment

## FAQ

### Do I need coding skills?

No! After the initial 5-minute script installation (which requires adding one line
of code), marketing teams can create and launch experiments independently. AI generates
all variant code—you just approve or edit.

### How is this different from regular A/B testing?

Traditional A/B testing splits traffic 50/50 between variants and requires months
of data. Dalton uses multi-armed bandit optimization, which dynamically routes more
traffic to winning variants while still learning from all options. This delivers
results 5x faster (2-4 weeks vs 3+ months).

### Does Dalton automatically change my website?

No. Dalton suggests experiments and generates variants, but nothing goes live until
you explicitly approve it. You maintain full control over what appears on your site.

### What traffic level do I need?

Dalton works best with 5K+ sessions per month per page you want to test. Below that,
tests take 6-8 weeks instead of 2-4 weeks. Traditional A/B testing typically requires
100K+ sessions.

### Will this slow down my site?

No. Dalton’s script loads in <50ms with zero performance impact on your site speed.

### Can I use this with Google Analytics?

Yes. Dalton integrates directly with GA4 and other analytics platforms.

Yes! You can run experiments on multiple pages simultaneously. Each experiment routes

I built this because my website wasn’t pulling its weight. Traffic was fine, but
conversions were stuck. Traditional A/B testing felt too complicated and slow for
what I needed. This lets me test different versions of my pages without touching
code, and it automatically shows the better-performing ones to more people. Setup
took about 10 minutes. The AI suggests what to test and writes the variants. I approve
what looks good, and it runs in the background. Saw a noticeable bump in conversions
within a few weeks. If your website gets decent traffic and you want it working 
harder for you, this is a practical tool.
